First Lite M's Rugged Wool Field Shirt
Merino wool has long been a hunter's best friend for its thermal properties when wet and natural anti-odor qualities. Perhaps the only drawback to Merino knits is that, like most other knit fabrics, they are prone to snagging, picking, and pilling.
Through years of development, First Lite has built a robust double-knit wool fabric that is both durable on the exterior and soft on the interior, bridging the gap between baselayer and outerwear. The First Lite M's Rugged Wool Field Shirt has been fittingly dubbed Rugged Wool, and it designed to take you from the house to the field and everywhere in between.

The shirt has a nice fit and is warm. I wore the shirt for the first time grouse hunting. When I was done the shirt had three small snag type holes in it and I don’t remember getting the shirt getting caught in the brush bad enough to make the holes. We sewed the holes up. I just won’t wear it in the woods anymore. Not worth the $200 if you need durability
Not so rugged. The shirt has a nice fit and is warm. I wore it the first time grouse hunting and I ended up getting three smaller holes from the brush. I don’t remember snagging on anything that would make the holes it did in the shirt. We sewed the holes up but I won’t wear it in the woods again. Not worth the $200 if you need any kind of durability
