The 2019 Kelvin Active Hoody SS (short sleeve) has been designed to integrate effortlessly into any of the Sitka Gear Layering systems. The Sitka Gear Kelvin Active Hoody SS has the highly breathable, low bulk Polartec Alpha Direct insulation incorporated into its 4-way stretch nylon shell. The innovative design of cropped sleeves allows for reduced bulk, bowstring clearance, and provides access to the elbow pads in the Apex Hoody when worn as a base layer. The Sitka Gear Kelvin Active Hoody SS form-fitting hood offers improved peripheral vision, enabling you to move your head and not just your eyes. The Polartec Alpha Direct insulation creates a liner and insulation in one. Polygiene Odor Control Technology is a natural fit for hunting. By permanently treating fabrics with low concentrations of silver salt, which has inherent antimicrobial properties and is naturally present in water, Polygiene safely eliminates the ability for bacteria to grow and effectively neutralizes odor.
POLARTEC
Stika Gear uses Polartec fabrics in specific applications requiring insulation that maximizes lightweight breathability and weather resistance. Polartec Alpha active insulation features an extremely breathable, fast drying and highly compressible synthetic fabric that regulates core body temperatures during both dynamic and static activities, reducing the need to shed or add layers throughout a hunt.

GORE OPTIFADE CONCEALMENT
Traditional mimicry patterns based on human vision are designed to look like a specific type of vegetation or terrain. GORE OPTIFADE Concealment is the only scientifically proven concealment pattern based on animal vision to optically fade a hunter into their surroundings. By using advanced blends of micro and macro patterns to fool animal vision rather than mimic a particular shape, GORE OPTIFADE Concealment is more versatile and more effective at getting hunters close to game.
SITKA DESIGN NOTES
Sitka Gear found a hole in Sitka's system when it was too cold for a base layer, but too active to be wearing a puffy jacket. Sitka's solution was to create a high-performance insulating mid-layer with superior breathability for active pursuits. Constructed with a DWR-treated, durable nylon face, the Kelvin Active Hoody can be worn as an outer layer in mild conditions or as a breathable, insulating mid-layer in the late season.
